Environment & Safety

Safety is Adelphia Gateway's Top Priority

Read more below about our commitment to ensure the safe and reliable operation of Adelphia Gateway.

Testing

Pipeline integrity has been confirmed with pressure testing at 150 percent of the maximum allowable operating pressure.

Regular inspections using a tool called a "smart pig" will be used to monitor pipe integrity.

Operations

Skilled personnel oversee operations to ensure pipeline safety and integrity.

Valves are located along the pipeline to isolate gas flow.

Pipeline operations are continuously monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Maintenance

Routine visual and in-line inspections will meet or exceeed federal regulations and standards.

Routine aerial patrols of the pipeline right-of-way are conducted to identify potential risks, such as third-party excavation, encroachments or changes in right-of-way conditions.

Pipeline Markers

Pipeline markers and warning signs are visible along the pipeline right-of-way.

Markers identify the product and contact information in case of emergency.

811 number serves as a reminder to call before you dig to prevent third-party damage. PA One Call is the law.

Emergency Response Training

Adelphia Gateway will coordinate with and offer training to first responders along its route.
